an overdue ode to summer 2013.
parks, beaches, camping, kiddie pools, fresh flowers, friends, brunch, birthdays and pups.
one chapter ends, another begins.
running against 25 mph winds were incredible circumstances to complete a marathon in, but didn’t stop me from crossing the finish line.
infinite gratitude for this day and all the amazing things and wonderful change running has brought to my life. i wouldn’t be who i am today without it.
baked pumpkin cake donuts. 🎃
four months today i’ve been back in america, and honestly, it feels good.
today while babysitting a nine year old boy asked me to play mackelmore & ryan lewis’ “same love”. he sang along and i asked if he understood the meaning of the song. he gave me an accurate and heart felt response which essentially turned into a speech on gay rights. he doesn’t know it yet, but he’s history in the making. and a pretty cool kid.
a month ago i stopped at eight miles, but today i did only to refuel for another seven.
fifteen felt good.
